Nicholas Gascoigne

Nicholas Gascoigne obtained his Ph.D. in Immunology from University College London, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University. He then joined Scripps Research Institute, California, as a faculty member. In 2013 he joined the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin Medical School as Head of Department and Professor. He served as Head of Department from 2013-2020. Professor Gascoigne was elected President of the Singaporean Society for Immunology (SGSI) in 2017, serving in this role until December 2021. He is currently the SGSI delegate to the international bodies FIMSA and IUIS. Prof Gascoigne serves on the Singapore MOH Expert Committee on COVID-19 Vaccination. He was elected to Fellowship of the Royal Society of Biology in 2023. Prof. Gascoigne’s research interests are in cellular and molecular immunology, focusing on the regulation of signaling in T cell activation and development.
